HOW DOES AMBLE WORK?
at amble, we believe that conversations can come before appearances. during profile setup, you get to indicate your gender/age/religion preferences, and also whether you would like to interact on a romantic or platonic basis. when you first get into a match, the bot will send in a conversation starter which you should use to get the most out of the chat!
HOW LONG DO I NEED TO WAIT TO GET A MATCH?
there’s no good answer to this! if someone that matches your preferences is available, we will match you with them. but if there isn’t, you might need to be patient (or refer our bot to your friends)! you can also make your preferences less strict, such as by increasing the age range, to get a higher likelihood of matching.
HOW SHOULD I INDICATE TO MY MATCH I’D LIKE TO MEET THEM?
we know some of you are shy, so we built the /imready function just for that. once both parties have triggered the /imready function, we will then announce that you are both interested in meeting each other virtually or in-person. great way to avoid rejection!
HOW DO I TELL IF I’M TALKING TO THE BOT OR SOMEONE ELSE?
once you get into a match, the bot will announce that you are in a match and every message you send will be directly to your match. any comments by the bot will be prefixed with “@ambleprojectbot:” in the match.
I WAS BUSY AND MY MATCH EXPIRED. CAN YOU HELP ME REMATCH?
unfortunately, at amble we have made it our policy to not rematch you if you had unintentionally let the match expire. we do this is to protect our users’ privacy. if you find that the 48 hours gap is too long, you can consider subscribing to premium for $5/month for a removal of the autoexpiry function.
MY MATCH IS BEHAVING INAPPROPRIATELY. WHAT DO I DO?
please use the /report command if your match is behaving inappropriately while in the match, and send us an Instagram DM. please stay safe and exercise discretion on our bot always.
